POSITION SUMMARY

The Neurosciences Practice Director is responsible for the efficient day to day administrative operations of multiple provider groups in acute& ambulatory care settings across the Neurosciences Service Line. The Neurosciences Practice Director oversees the Site Supervisor(s) and other staff within the program fostering professional staff development. The Practice Director ensures the delivery of cost-effective, quality patient care in support of business objectives and organizational strategic goals.



The Practice Director, develops, implements, and administers operational systems that support the clinical practice, to include patient scheduling and registration, managed care, receivables management, budgetary planning, equipment and materials inventory, policy and procedure implementation, and staffing issues. The Director acts as a liaison with ancillary services, third party payers, physicians, and management to resolve customer service, patient care and financial issues. The Director may focus on a specific area of expertise within the administration of the ambulatory site, such as information system administration, reimbursement, financial/budgeting, or business operations.



The Practice Director will oversee and work closely with the hospital neurosciences leadership and service line nurse navigators to ensure seamless transition of patients across the continuum. The Practice Director will work closely with the Assistant Vice President of Neurosciences with a hybrid reporting relationship to appropriate Medical Director(s).





The Director seeks opportunities to enhance and expand services, managed care contracting and builds strong provider and staff relationships. This position participates in short and long term planning for ambulatory services. The Director supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team- work and cooperation.





QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 10 years of experience required as an administrative and business manager required. Preferably within an ambulatory care setting or managed care operations. Strong Budget Management/Billing Experience required. Strong communication skills required with front line staff, management and providers. Strong organizational skills required.Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.
