Villanova University invites applications for adjunct teaching position in Japanese language for undergraduate courses only. We are looking for a drill instructor in our Beginner and Intermediate levels. The applicant must be committed to excellence in the teaching of Japanese.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching and related duties will vary with the specific course(s) being taught.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Japanese or a closely related discipline is required.
  • Must have experience teaching Japanese at least up to Intermediate level.
  • The applicant must be committed to excellence in teaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous teaching experience preferred—at least, two years of post-secondary teaching in a related field.
  • In fall 2024, candidate must be available to teach drill sections of Beginner and Intermediate Japanese on Monday 8:30am to 1:40pm. The schedule may be restructured in subsequent semesters.
