Job Scope

The Director of Finance Systems is responsible for overseeing development, structuring, implementation and maintenance of financial processes and systems within organization. This role ensures that financial systems align with business strategies, and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial analytics, including accurate actuals, financial reporting and analysis, and forecasting and budgeting. They work closely with Finance and IT leaders, and other departments, to ensure effective integration and optimization of financial technologies. The role is critical for ensuring that financial systems and processes are robust, efficient, repeatable, and aligned with the strategic goals of organization.

Responsibilities

  • Look across the company’s financial and operational data and reporting and work with Finance team to ensure systems and processes are automated and effective to provide data and analytics to business
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes in alignment with company’s strategic goals
  • Align financial processes and systems use across multiple planning and ERP systems with Finance and business objectives
  • Ensure account mappings are consistent across financial systems and work with Finance team to structure and automate management reporting
  • Act as the point person between Finance and IT for the selection, configuration, and implementation of financial software solutions, such as Planful, OneStream, SAP, etc.
  • Respond to inquiries and prepare routine/ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed
  • Collaborate within Finance and other department leaders to ensure efficient operation and support of company objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years’ financial management experience
  • Experience working at $500+ million manufacturing company, medical device experience preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of and implementation experience with automated financial/accounting reporting systems, ERPs, consolidation tools and BI tools
  • Extensive experience with SAP, Hyperion, Planful or other planning tools
  • Knowledge of finance, reporting, budgeting, cost accounting, cost control, internal controls
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
  • Mergers and acquisitions experience preferred
  • Ability to independently conduct research and exercise judgment when resolving issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally at all levels
  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and use discretion
  • Experience operating in multi entity structure, US and International
