Chief systems engineer of multiple projects to net-centrically expose traditional and non-traditional sources for improved Space Situational Awareness (SSA) in support of the Space Control mission area. Responsibilities include providing day-to-day on-site Systems Engineering, Integration, Test, and Acquisition support to the government Program Manager, interfacing with external stakeholder communities to resolve interdependency issues, and managing contractors' and FFRDCs' technical efforts to ensure developed solutions meet stakeholder requirements. The primary focus of this position is to be the government's primary technical SME in the broad areas of requirements development, system design, risk management, integration and test, security accreditation, logistical planning and sustainment, data verification and validation, and system operational acceptance. The candidate must possess the following attributes: A) Good working knowledge of Department of Defense acquisition policies and be capable of developing acquisition documentation in support of technical projects. B) System engineering background with experience in Space C2 and SSA systems. C) Software experience in the areas of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), web services technologies, data modeling, XML, XML schema. D) General understanding of FOSS/COTS products. E) Familiarity with Space Battle Management Command and Control (BMC2). F) Intelligence Community (IC) background, particularly in non-traditional SSA sources, a plus. Travel can be anticipated 10% of the time.

Position Location: El Segundo, CA

Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide technical leadership of contractor and FFRDC teams to guide the development of system solutions
2. Review and assess all aspects of system design and data models for compliance with program office and stakeholder objectives
3. Develop documentation to support acquisition and design activities to include but not limited to technical requirements documentation, engineering change requests, statements of work, requests for proposals, and milestone documentations
4. Work closely with FFRDC and SETA counterparts to make recommendations to the government on all systems engineering functions (requirements, risk, integration, test, etc.)
5. Develop briefings, white papers, technical documents, and other program artifacts in support of day-to-day program office business rhythms

Qualifications:
Education Qualification, Clearance, Experience and Skills
1. Master's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
2. 10+ years of experience performing space system acquisition, technical project management, systems/software engineering, data modeling, and integration & test
3. 5+ years of experience with Space C2 and SSA systems
4. Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
5. Ability to effectively work as a member of larger dynamic teams
6. Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project
7. Hold a current TS/SCI security clearance
