The Americas Business Development team has the mandate to grow Rockwell Collins Government Systems business in the region by promoting and selling its products, solutions, and services. As a member of the team based in Colombia, you will directly contribute to this expansion with the Colombian Ministry of Defense and Militaries, other LATAM countries Ministry of Defense and Militaries customers, as well as Colombian and other LATAM countries OEMs and primes with business in the Defense sector. You will have the ability to draw upon the extensive portfolio of products and resources that Rockwell Collins has to offer in order to successfully prospect new business, develop and execute pursuit strategies, and close deals.

_ Key Responsibilities:_
The account manager is the main interface to his customers and is responsible for understanding customer needs and requirements, helping the development of a solution, and providing products and services that leverage the entire Rockwell Collins Government System portfolio

* Responsible for the development of assigned accounts
* Lead the Pursuit Order Capture process for assigned pursuits (responsible for analyzing whether the opportunity is real and whether we can win based on customer most important requirements and the competitive landscape)
* Participate in the creation and execution of the pursuit win strategy
* Responsible to close the selection and award of the product, solution, service
* Accountable for Orders forecast (annual operating plan, 5-year strategic plan); provide timely and accurate forecasting information
* Manages risks and opportunities to make the plan
* Build customer network and affinity
* Trusted source that provides valuable insights to the customer,
* Builds affinity that allows to gain insights into what it takes to win
* Support Bids and Proposals (ROM, FFP, BAFO generation, delivery and negotiation)
* Tradeshows participation and support (Participate to key regional tradeshows and promote RC brand and solutions)
* Source of customer and competitive intelligence information

* Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience
* Fluent in Spanish and English
* Understanding of and prior experience with the Colombian and other LATAM countries Defense market and Defense industry
* Knowledge of and/or experience with military electronics systems designed to support the operational needs of the Colombian and other LATAM countries Air Force, Army, Navy and/or National Police
* Prior business development experience in sales or account management within the Colombian and LATAM Defense industry
* Proven track record of growing a set of accounts (orders / sales growth)
* Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
* Demonstrated passion to win and ability to create and convert leads into opportunities
* Strong work ethic and accountability
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Critical thinking skills
