Our business is seeking a Group Leader, Engine Mechanic – Propane and Engine, who, under general supervision, will direct those who assist him/her and perform scheduled and on-demand maintenance of mechanical equipment located at company plants and customer properties.

Job responsibilities are including, but not limit to the following:
Perform trouble shooting and initiate corrective action, maintenance and complete overhauls of industrial engines, compressors, generators, boiler, and associated equipment both for the company and for customers under contract.
Provide direction for assistants when required.
Perform maintenance of propane buildings and grounds including, painting, lawn care, snow removal and general upkeep.
Periodic testing, repair and replacement of relief valves, gas detectors, fire detectors and other safety equipment as related to boilers.
Operate and maintain the propane-air plant at Lowell.
Operate portable LNG vaporizers at specified sites outside the plant.
Maintain inventories of spare parts and materials in an orderly manner.
Document and maintain records of maintenance activities as required by plant procedures and regulations.
Participate in continuous, routine training for operations, maintenance, security and fire protection to stay qualified for this classification per DOT, State and local regulations.
Must hold a certification in industrial engine repair from recognized national registered training facility (Ingersoll Rand, Caterpillar or other as determined by the Company).
Knowledge of the operation and maintenance requirements for industrial engines, compressors, generators and associated equipment through technical schooling or experience.
Mechanical Aptitude.
Knowledge of the regulatory requirements for operation, maintenance, fire protection and security of propane-air plants and able to legibly and accurately record data and complete reports.
Health and physical condition conforming to DOT regulatory requirements for LNG personnel assigned to this classification (49 CFR Part 193.2711).
Able to meet the training qualifications specified by DOT for LNG personnel assigned to this classification (49 CFR Part 193.2713, 2715 and 2717).
Able to work at heights.
Able to work extra and/or irregular hours, including shifts.
Must possess a valid motor vehicle license and pass a DOT physical.
This position is a covered classification under the DOT anti-drug program regulations and candidates are required to pass a drug test and are on the random monitoring list for periodic drug testing.
In order to proceed in the process, you must be able to pass pre-employment assessments, including a demonstration of job skills, background check and drug/alcohol and physical screening.
