Human Resources Coordinator
CGI Federal is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join team supporting a local government contract. We are looking for an independent, self-starter who is comfortable rolling up his/her sleeves and handling day-to-day HR functions. The Human Resources Coordinator supports the assigned program leadership, the account management team, and on-site and off-site staff members in all aspects of HR, including the development, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of employee relations, compensation, staff member support, performance management and the day-to-day administration and implementation of policies and programs. This position also oversees the local recruiters.
? Employee Relations, serving as the mediator when issues arise, ensuring that issues are addressed and properly documented, and conducting investigations with support as needed.
? Management of employee performance issues, which may include assisting managers in preparing and documenting Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), as well as ensuring processes are followed in managing the PIP.
? Assist in coordinating and rolling-out various Corporate and Business Unit initiatives, policies and practices.
? Respond to all member concerns regarding policies, practices, and general Business Unit decisions.
? Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures at all levels.
? Sound understanding and adoption of applicable laws and regulations as it relates to all aspects of HR and Staffing, especially as it relates to the Service Contract Act
? Conduct New Hire Orientations, as necessary.
? HR Generalist background.
? Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent relevant education and experience.
? PHR or SPHR certification not required but highly preferred.
? Experience with Microsoft Office.

? Solid understanding of Employment Law and Labor Laws.
? Prior experience with working with employees under the Service Contract Act.
? Broad experience in managing employee issues, managing poor performance, managing conflict, delegating work, and assessing risk.
? Solid understanding of compensation, salary administration and promotion processes.
? Ability to present varying training related sessions in multiple media settings both in person and virtually.
?Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required
