DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

SAIC is seeking five (5) full-time positions with differing levels of expertise and experience to provide U.S. Navy C4I/Combat Systems engineering and technical on-site support and subject matter expertise to Mid Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) in support of the U.S. Navy Extremely High Frequency (EHF), Super High Frequency (SHF), Ultrahigh Frequency (UHF), Broadband Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Systems and associated subsystems on board U.S. Navy ships. Candidates will be selected from one of the five (5) technician categories below:

One technician shall support EHF.

Two technicians shall support SHF.

Two technicians shall support UHF and broadband.

Selected technicians will perform electronic, electrical and mechanical assessments, alignments and fault corrections; and inspections on communications equipment including, but not limited to the following systems:

- AN/USC-38 EHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna’s
- AN/WSC-6 SHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna’s
- AN/WSC-8 SHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna’s
- AN/WSC-3 UHF Line of Sight Radio, all variants and antenna’s
- AN/WSC-3 UHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna’s
- A/L-7204 TV-DTS, all variants and antenna’s
- AN/USC-61 DMR SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna’s
- AN/USC-69 CBSP SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna’s
- AN/WSC-9 NMT SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna’s
- ON-762/U Advance Time Division Multiple Access Interface Processor (ATIP)
- OK-454/455 DAMA
- AN/USQ-145 MD 1325 (5KHZ)
- SRC-47

Experience in the above systems must be documented on the applicant’s resume.

Selected applicants will be required to write Technical Assistance Visit Reports (TAVR) and MAF / Debrief reports and provide oral debriefings ship’s and MARMC personnel.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Selected applicants must document:

- A minimum of six (6) years general hands-on experience performing electronic, electrical and mechanical assessments, alignments and fault corrections on SATCOM and Broadband communications equipment / systems (experience may be concurrent).
- A minimum of three (3) years specialized hands-on experience performing electronic, electrical and mechanical assessments, alignments and fault corrections on the following equipment / systems:
- AN/USC-38 EHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antennas (1 applicant to be selected)
- AN/WSC-6 SHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antennas (2 applicants to be selected)
- AN/WSC-3 UHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antennas (2 applicants to be selected)

ADDITIONAL DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Work will be primarily for EHF, SHF, UHF, TV-DTS, DMR, CBSP, and NMT SATCOM systems support however, capabilities to support other Navy systems/equipment may make a candidate more competitive for the position.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work independently with little oversight or assistance.

CLEARANCE: Active DOD SECRET
Travel: Up to 25%, including international travel. Unexpired U.S. Passport required.
