As the most real-time, personalized and profitable channel within our marketing mix, email is the cornerstone of our one to one marketing communication strategy. The Manager of Digital Marketing will report to the Director of Digital Marketing who is responsible for all digital marketing efforts for Marketplace. This individual will play a key role within our Marketplace marketing team, ensuring that email remains a profitable and growing marketing channel through Sears and our strategic loyalty program Shop Your Way. The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for helping developing email and Shop Your Way digital marketing campaign strategies, execution, quality assurance, optimization and business performance.
This position requires hands on strategic experience overseeing the end-to-end planning, execution, and optimization of existing programs while concurrently building new member-centric omni-channel marketing campaigns. The Digital Marketing Manager will have overall accountability for driving engagement and revenue to Marketplace by leveraging email and SYW.com, monetizing the Member Base, Member Engagement and supporting the overall marketing team for Marketplace.
Most importantly, the Digital Marketing Manager will have an impeccable level of attention to detail in email planning, strategy, creation and quality assurance, with demonstrated ability to continue the evolution of the existing email program into a highly personalized, dynamic and real-time framework. This individual working with their Director will help grow the Marketplace team’s knowledge, while building and executing an over-arching strategy to drive profitable sales and exceed the aggressive goals for Marketplace.
The Digital Marketing Manager will focus on critical email leading indicators (open, click, unsubscribe) and lagging indicators (conversion, AOV and revenue per email) – This individual must be savvy enough to pivot in real time in response to leading and lagging indicator data. Finally, the Digital Marketing Manager will need to be familiar with incremental marketing analysis and complex attribution models, as the program moves away from what we consider to be more “traditional” digital KPI’s towards more insightful metrics for performance assessment.
