SAIC is expanding support for our Cyber, Cloud and Data Science service line. This has created opportunities for SharePoint Developers to join our team.
Program opportunities include the Department of State, which has implemented a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution, XenMobile, which offers the Department further flexibility in the mobile space.
The dedicated Web Designer for this effort will be responsible for supporting the web presence for the worldwide deployment of XenMobile. The individual will maintain, develop, design and lead the execution of web interface efforts and SharePoint solutions with a customer focus and customer outreach approach. Support development of internal data-driven processes and reports.
The individual shall work closely with the XenMobile Project Manager and the team supporting the overall effort to ensure that products and services are in consonance with the overall project plan, to meet the intended goals and generate the desired results of the project. This approach shall be followed from initiation throughout the life of the XenMobile project.
Description of Duties:
The individual shall have a good understanding of the overall project and the plan in order to develop relevant, data-driven, asynchronous, effective, current, and useful web interfaces that are practical, engaging, easy-to-understand, succinct, responsive, and on-target with the intended audience on multiple platforms. The web application code should be reusable and organized.
The Web Designer will be responsible for, among others, the following key deliverables:
Design and look of web pages on both desktops and mobile devices
Asynchronous retrieval and submission of data
Clean, organized, portable, and object oriented code
Internal SQL-based reports
Promoting XenMobile via web presence and other artifacts
Posting of User Guides
Posting procedures in support of the XenMobile project
The Web Designer shall also perform the following:
Coordinate customer-facing and enterprise level messages (e.g., notifications, emails, web page links, procedures, etc.) with other offices within the Department of State to ensure messaging associated with mobile devices is appropriate for the intended audience and reaches the widest audience deemed necessary.
Disseminate/Post communications products to Department of State (DoS) organizations and users via web page updates.
Collect and collate feedback from DoS organizations and users and provide the collated results to IRM/OPS/MSO/MRA.
Design, develop, operate and maintain a SharePoint and other sites that will be internal and customer-facing.
Ensure consistent framing of messages and communication products and update any outdated documents or other products to make them current and relevant.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 2 to 8+ years directly related experience and knowledge of related Internet and multimedia technologies.
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent years of experience) in related discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems.
In-depth and demonstrated skills in written communications, documentation, standard operating procedures, user guides, and similar products to clearly disseminate relevant information, increase user awareness and provide relevant training materials.
Familiarity and working knowledge of object oriented programming principles
Familiarity and working knowledge of jQuery, CSS, SharePoint 2010, SharePoint Designer, integration with MS InfoPath, SQL, and SQL Server Reporting Services
Familiarity and working knowledge of responsive design for mobile devices
Must possess at least two (2) to seven (7) + years of direct experience.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience and practical knowledge in supporting large-scale IT systems migration and/or deployment.
Extremely strong, proficient and demonstrated oral and written communication skills with experience working effectively with senior management officials, project management team members, and technical staff members regarding communication and training issues.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and quick turnaround deliverables, and exceptional attention to details.
Ability to focus on delivery of products and services on time.
In depth experience establishing Web presence in support of other large scale IT systems deployment and support of multiple or other mobile solutions.
