SW Engineer Senior to work in Orange, California
Gather user and business requirements, convert it to system specifications and conduct system development. Apply Standard SDLC methodologies. Research and evaluate best software development technologies and products and follow best practices, patterns, standards and procedures in design and development aspects, and ensure performance, scalability, quality and best delivery methods. Coordinate program and system development activities.
Provide ongoing user support and troubleshoot using available technology tools, and resolve programming issues. Create formal project plans to address complex changes. Analyze ongoing application development and ensure compliance with overall design parameters and keep track of development standards. Ensure compliance of web pages and web applications with Company Policies and procedures. Conduct unit testing, fix bugs and issues or conduct additional development based on test results. Develop/review development of other test protocols for application regression and functional testing before acceptance.
Review test results and continue further development. Create and modify the databases, tables and database objects writing rich SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and triggers. Build content management, graphic designs and security modules, and audio/video streaming. Apply security using various encryption algorithms on different levels to avoid security loop holes and threats. Traffic monitoring on websites and test website functionality to ensure optimal performance for end users; implement performance improvements and/or site expansion.
Provide assistance during code upgrades and new implementations. Provide recommendations for improving software functionality in order to achieve business goals and to optimize application use and performance. Provide assistance in establishing any necessary interfaces and integration with other systems. Research, develop and propose new technologies to improve application architecture.
Full-time position at 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Education and Experience:
- Applicants will qualify for the position with a Bachelor’s degree Computer and Information Sciences (or foreign equivalent based on evaluation of academic credentials, training and/or experience) as well as twenty-four months in job or job related experience in duties listed above.
- Suitable combination of education, experience and training is acceptable.
- Experience may have been gained before, during or after degree.
