Territories covered are Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas. Must be willing to travel!

The Sales Account Manager position promotes the sales of Econolite Group products and services to new and existing customers within the assigned geographic territory. The Sales Account Manager is responsible to retain and grow business with existing customers, and to grow the business by capturing new customer accounts.
-Candidate promotes and maximizes the sale of transportation systems, hardware, and related software and services to municipalities, counties, and state agencies, consulting engineers, contractors, and private developers in an assigned geographic territory
-Maintains and develops the sales opportunity pipeline within the assigned territory
-Responsible for maintenance of company records within its CRM system, including companies, contacts, opportunities, quotes, and orders
-Maintains detailed customer files regarding products and technical capabilities used by agencies
-Provides sales outlook and forecast information on a monthly basis to district sales manager
-Meets or exceeds assigned monthly and annual sales objectives within the territory
-Maintains high level of satisfaction and trust with agencies in assigned geographic territory; responsible for development and achievement of net promoter score targets in territory
-Coordinates new product/service introduction within territory and maintains current knowledge of Econolite’s newest products and services as well as those of competitors
-Maximizes instances where agencies specify Econolite products
-Coordinates local product seminars/webinars/training for assigned customers as applicable
-Exercises sound judgment with daily, company-related expenditures
-Cultivates and maintains relationships with engineering consulting and electrical contractor firms in the assigned territory
-Supports all aspects of the sales process, including (but not limited to):
-Analysis of agency capital improvement plans
-Analysis of plans and specifications
-Development of project requirements
-Development and delivery of quotes
-Preparation and delivery of submittals
-Completion and entry of sales orders
-Provides input to district and regional management with respect to annual business planning and budgeting
-Applies company policies with respect to pricing and discounts
-Coordinate with Finance to resolve collection and credit issues
-Coordinates with office Sales Coordinators to schedule technical support for equipment turn-ons
-Manages product release projections on the Will Advise listing
-Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations for product merchandising, i.e. the products we sell and the way we deliver them to contractors to enhance our business operations
-Schedules customer-specific events, product training and other educational events (e.g. Lunch and Learns)
-Attend industry association meetings as directed or assigned as a means of networking with the customer base and other industry professionals
-Serves as a proactive customer service & quality ambassador of The Econolite Group, Inc. by representing the organization in a positive, professional manner to support The Brand Promise
-Performs other duties as required and assigned
-3-5 years’ experience in government sales at a local and state level is desired
-3-5 years’ experience in transportation and/or traffic-related industry is desired
-Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering, or transportation engineering; or related field, technical, or equivalent experience is required. Highly qualified technician experience will be considered.
-Previous technical sales experience helpful
-Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving and organizational skills
-Strong presentation skills
-Excellent emotional intelligence strongly desired
-High ability to multi-task and set priorities
-Experience with products such as traffic controllers, cabinets, signals, systems, conduit, poles, signs, etc. is preferred
-Skilled with personal computing, including Microsoft Office products. Experience with the following systems preferred:
-CRM systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce.com, etc.)
-On-line bid systems (e.g. Bidsync)
-Mandatory for company sponsored and assigned events such as annual sales meetings, etc., approximately 5-10 days per year
-Dependent upon the assigned territory, 5 to 15 days per month
