Position Description
Join the CGI Federal team! CGI Federal is looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) to support operations at our Albany, GA location. Your future duties and responsibilities
The Database Administrator defines required database administration policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines. Provides expertise and guidance in logical and physical database design, development, operations, and maintenance. Evaluates and advises on data processing techniques, database management, and management information systems, concepts, and applications. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
? A Bachelor's Degree AND at least 3 years' directly related experience are required for this role. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirement.
? System Administration of Red Hat Linux, Oracle Database, VMware ESX and Web server administration on Oracle platform, including but not limited to the following: patching, OS troubleshooting, log standards, cron/scheduling, understanding of NFS, performance tuning, knowledge of the file system and utilities.
? Develop Oracle Discoverer custom reports to meet the business needs.
? Provide operational system engineering support for 5+ Linux based servers in a high availability, 24x7x365 environment.
? Perform software analysis with advance troubleshooting, resolution and problem solving.
? Provide cross training to immediate support team and tier 1 team.
? Ability to handle multi-tasks and meet deadlines for both project and service request work.
? In-depth documentation of activities and system configuration, to include admin guides, technical software design documents
? An Interim Secret or higher clearance is required in order to begin work. Continued eligibility is contingent on ability to receive final Secret clearance.
? Possession of a US government Secret security clearance is required to begin employment.
? Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.

Desired qualifications:

? CompTIA Security+ certification. (Must obtain within 6 months of hire.)
? Experience with Oracle PSQL
