IT Operations Exercise and COOP Manager (Job Number:420382)


Seeking an experienced IT Operations Exercise and Continuity of Operations (COOP) Manager to support an Intelligence Community (IC) customer in Chantilly, VA.


The successful applicant must provide IT operations exercise planning & execution, Continuity of Operations technical support, process improvement, personnel training across the government customer’s Operations and Maintenance Group.

- Plan, prepare, execute, and observe monthly COOP exercises
- Support and participate in semi-annual COOP exercises conducted across the entire Customer organization and with DoD and IC agencies
- Support the semi-annual Operations Crisis Action Team (OPSCAT) exercises
- Develop and maintain COOP studies, plans, and contingency checklists to support COOP initiatives and processes
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and methodologies into site facilities and protection plans
- Develop COOP training materials and conduct training for Customer personnel
- Develop and/or refine an overall COOP plan, including activities to assist Customer squadrons, divisions, and detachments with operating instructions to support critical operations during a COOP event
- Prepare and deliver status briefings on COOP-related matters to Customer senior leadership and various operations forums
- Provide a broad/comprehensive assessment of the current state of COOP preparedness and recommendations to improve people, processes and technology used for COOP functions
- Address the technical and programmatic aspects to prepare a “way ahead” roadmap of prioritized proposed improvements


- *Must be a US CITIZEN and currently hold an ACTIVE TS/SCI with POLY**


- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience
- Relevant experience in accordance with the job description mentioned above
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Excellent writing, organization, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with the NRO missions and organizations
- Experience working in the Intelligence Community
- Experienced user in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Commitment to recognize, understand, respect and operate effectively within various SETA, FFRDC, and Government lines of authority
