NCI: As a Systems Engineer Senior for the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) task, you will support the NETCOM, ACofS, G-3/5/7 Plans, Programs and Architecture (PPA) Division and the Operational Engineering Division (OED) in providing sustainment and configuration management engineering, documentation, planning, and implementation of the Systems Management (SysMan) Program. You will provide SYSMAN engineering, technical support, integration engineering, testing, and evaluation. You will support the sustainment, operations, and maintenance for Microsoft Systems Management Server, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007/2012; Quest Management Xtensions (QMX) or similar; and System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2007/2012 applications and related hardware/software per enterprise SYSMAN architecture, design, and build guidance. This position is located in Fort Huachuca, Arizona; relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available.

Highlights of Responsibilities:
•Provide sustainment, O&M, and technical support for the Army Enterprise SYSMAN system.
•Provide operational engineering support for the CM process in support of routine patching, synchronization with AGM and day- to-day operational issues of the SYSMAN software, hardware, and storage and network infrastructure.
•Maintain standard baseline configuration within the OED lab.
•Initiate system RFCs as necessary and support the CM processes for routine sustainment and O&M.
•Perform tests of proposed changes (such as patching) and provide support to operational organizations supporting RFCs and IAVA compliance.
•Conduct technical reviews of any changes to day-to-day configurations (within 45 days of tasking).
•Provide expertise NETCOM/ACofS, G-5 for the enterprise integration to ITSM project.
•Validate all sustainment and O&M changes (such as patching or configuration changes) approved by various Technical Review Boards before they are fielded into production, and provide written results within 7 days of test.
•Document all changes successfully validated in the CM SYSMAN accurately and concisely in support of O&M.
•Support re-engineering efforts required by integration to GNE AD, and other systems external to SYSMAN via approved data standards.
•Draft the SYSMAN Implementation Support Plan.
•Provide source documentation needed to complete project configuration management plans for SYSMAN capabilities.
•Document project technical solutions and schedules within the established suspense, and adhere to operational requirements and technical standards via the system design.
•Test functionality of the SYSMAN capability management tools and applications to the LNA requirements.
•Assess site-specific architecture and current hardware limitations. Conduct testing for implementation of new SYSMAN technologies and develop documentation to meet identified suspense dates.
•Perform 8 x 5, on-call engineering Tier III enterprise support for resolving complex technical and functional issues.

•Current Active Secret Security Clearance w/ SSBI and or the ability to obtain one within a timeframe set forth by management.
•BS degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science or related field with 2-4 years experience as a Systems Engineer. 8-12 years experience as a Systems Engineer-Senior can be accepted in lieu of education requirement.
•Ability to obtain Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate(MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification within a reasonable time set forth by management.
•ITIL Foundations Certification.
•Security+ CE, GSEC, or SSCP IA Certifications.
•Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.

Preferred Education and Experience:
•Have expertise and skills in SYSMAN technologies that cross all tiers, hardware and storage configuration, Army Information Assurance environment, and configuration management.
•Have working knowledge and understanding of NetOps tools, procedures, and operational constructs.
•Possess skills and experience in SYSMAN- related IT, supporting Theater and NEC tiers, as well as configuration management skills
•Working knowledge of Microsoft-based security engineering; working knowledge of Unix, Red Hat Linux, and MAC operating systems and security; working knowledge and understanding of DIACAP, network security technologies, procedures, and operational constructs.
•Microsoft certification in SQL SharePoint, or other related technologies is a plus.
•Shall possess operational skills and expertise in the following technologies: Windows Server 2003/2008 System Administrator experience, Backup/Disaster Recovery, SQL 2005/8 Database and SQL Reporting, SCCM 2007, SCOM 2007, Active Directory, Intermediate Network Management, UNIX, LINUX, MAC, Microsoft Virtualization, VMware Virtualization, Network Infrastructure Components, HP hardware and Dell hardware.
