Responsible for sales order entry, sales order management, and customer service.
•Enters orders for all Econolite Group products and services into Econolite’s ERP
•Manages the order life cycle for assigned customers
•Serves as the primary contact point to customers on sales order-related items: Advises customers of any changes to an order; resolves problems with any order; tracks down and interfaces inter-departmentally to resolve issues. Keeps Account Managers and sales managers advised of any changes
•Maintains a record of all relevant touchpoints with customers in Econolite’s CRM
•Answers and screens incoming phone calls for the office related to support and bid inquiries. Applies judgment and guidance from management to establish customer need, priority, and proper routing.
•Serves as an initial touchpoint for customer inquiries: Provides assistance when customers require technical support, by lining up the necessary resources and directing or scheduling technical personnel to respond to customer calls for support; Notifies the appropriate account manager of the customer call; Follows up with customers after technical service call to ensure customer satisfaction and a successful outcome. Notifies account management or regional management of shipping holds or credit holds.
•Attends any required, approved, training classes that pertain to this job description
•Interprets customer requirements as provided by Account Managers or as described in written plans or specifications in order to develop price quotations; applies judgment to determine appropriate product, price-book, and discount based on the end-customer and channel to market.
•Revises quotes as necessary to meet customer requests or project changes
•Processes and submits change orders as necessary
•Enters sales orders for various direct purchases not facilitated by an Account Manager. I.E. Credit Card orders, stock or contract purchases
•Retains and files hardcopies of PO’s, Sales Orders and quotes filed for reference purposes
•For warranty claims, researches orders and determines applicability of warranty coverage. Prepares and submits RMA’s (Return Material Authorizations), RA’s (Repair Authorizations) and any approved credits. Exercises judgment in determination of amount and applicability of credit.
•Assists or contacts any Departments such as Accounting, Planning, Shipping and Engineering with requests pertaining to Sales Orders or information needed to satisfy customers and contractors requests
•Serves as a proactive customer service & quality ambassador of The Econolite Group, Inc. by representing the organization in a positive, professional manner to support The Brand Promise
•Performs other duties as required and assigned
SECONDARY DUTIES (as assigned):
•Provide training to other members of the Inside Sales organization as needed
•Receives inbound calls and inquiries from existing and potential customers. Fulfill orders for replacement and commodity products.
•Conducts outbound sales calls to solicit business for Econolite products and services. Serves as the first line of Econolite’s demand generation resources.
•Works in conjunction with Marketing on sales/product campaigns
•4-7 years in a sales support or inside sales role
•Associate’s Degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferable
•Ability to multi-task
•Ability to apply sound judgment to establish priorities
•Excellent communication skills—written and verbal
•Computer literate; moderate skills working with Microsoft Office software
•Experience with CRM system, such as Salesforce.com or Microsoft Dynamics preferred
