Position Description
Put your years of experience into a future of excellence at CGI. CGI is seeking an experienced Java Programmer to support operations at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO.

The effort provides community-of-interest training support to the Future Force. It operates on a 24-hour basis as classrooms without walls, making training content accessible on demand to Soldiers in every theater of operation. It enables training content to be brought to Soldiers at the Soldiers' most teachable moment, in the environment in which that training is crucial, diminishing the need to keep sending those Soldiers back to the resident school. Your future duties and responsibilities
? Updating, repairing, modifying and developing existing software, application, IMI courseware and Leaning Management System (LMS )Building Blocks (currently Blackboard)
? Keen attention to detail, organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and be able to change directions as tasks dictate
? Ability to use different programming environments such as NetBeans or Eclipse / MyEclipse, to program and troubleshoot Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) courseware.
? Ability to debug programming code and assist Sr. Application Developers in code writing and programming projects.
? Updating, repairing, modifying and developing existing software, application, IMI courseware and Leaning Management System (LMS )Building Blocks (currently Blackboard)
? Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and how API?s (Application Programming Iinterface) interact with the Learning Management System, particularly Blackboard.
? Forward thinking by devising possible solutions to anticipated problems via methodical troubleshooting processes
? Working as part of a team, which may be established purely for a particular project, to write a specific section of programming code
? Test sample data-sets to check that output from the program works as intended
? Establishing a detailed program specification through discussion with customers and stakeholders
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
A high school diploma/GED or equivalent and 1 year directly related experience are required.

Required proficiency in the following programming languages:
? Java
? JDK
? Eclipse or NetBeans
