We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Civil Engineer - Transport. Reporting to the Perth Discipline Manager, you will work as an integral part of the Perth Engineering team with multiple Clients on a range of exciting projects.

Duties include:

Responsibilities

Form and nurture industry/market relationships to maximise repeat business from existing Clients

Provide technical expertise, mentoring and support to the civil/road engineering team.

Supervise project staff and review deliverables to ensure compliance with technical and quality assurance standards

Work independently to complete the planning, design and execution of projects that meet or exceed client expectations

Assist and support the development of new business opportunities, including responsibility for preparation of project proposals.

Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent

CPEng (or equivalent Chartered or Registered status)

Strong technical design ability

Main Roads WA experience or other similar statutory agency

Proven experience in a Project/Design Manager role for transport projects is highly desirable.

Working knowledge of commercial arrangements and relationships

Strong practical knowledge of and commitment to health and safety

Hold a minimum of 15 years relevant experience and significant experience, desirably some in an engineering consulting environment.

Previous experience in team management
