Mid-Level Java Developer

Position Description
CGI Federal is expanding its presence in Mechanicsburg, PA. We are actively seeking a JAVA Developer to design software tools and subsystems to support domain analyses and manage implementation.

The JAVA Developer will Manage software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design techniques and tools. Reviews existing programs and assists in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques. Supervises software configuration management. May provide technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met. Experience with Operations Research topics including mean time between failure, mean time to repair, multi-indenture, multi-echelon readiness based sparing allowancing models is desirable. Your future duties and responsibilities
Minimum/General Experience: three to five years of technical experience managing or performing software engineering activities. Knowledge of design & implementation of computer and database management systems. Possesses knowledge of the state-of-the-art in software/database engineering methodologies, CASE tools, and design techniques, as well as applicable software/database standards. Requires experience with one or more programming languages. Experience in Visual Basic, Visual Studio, Java, and specifically the conversion of Visual Basic to Java technologies, .net, Web technologies, ERP SAP Oracle/SQL server is desirable.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline.
