Position Description
CGI Federal is looking for a Java / .NET Developer to work at our Manassas, VA location. Your future duties and responsibilities
At CGI we have an approach to development and maintenance that extends beyond technology and cost reduction. The technical team supporting the US Marine Corp is working to maximize the value and effectiveness of mission critical applications. In this role you listen to and translate customer needs into high level specifications. You would also be responsible for design and development of recommended systems and consult with leadership to ensure their smooth implementation.
We are the team accountable for running the operation and development of applications that support case management procedures, credential applications, biometric identification and credential management. We make and maintain tools that improve the efficiency of STRATIS?s analytics solutions.
? Perform analysis, design, development and testing of applications.
? Develop application code and resolving defect to implement business and technical requirements.
? Support the migration of code environments and for supporting user testing
Minimum Qualifications
? JAVA/J2ee development and design experience
? Experience in working in Agile/Scrum development environments
? Proficiency with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
? Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
? Server Platform experience with WebSphere (limited usage), Tomcat, Apache
? J2EE based applications (including) JBoss, Spring, Struts Hibernate
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years experience. High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 15 years experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
Web-based development on Oracle platform - Oracle ADF, JSP, JSF, Javascript, AJAX, XML, CSS, Java.
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 4 years .NET development experience applying object oriented, design patterns, and industry best practices is required. High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 8 years NET development experience applying object oriented, design patterns, and industry best practices can be substituted in lieu of degree.
? Ability to successfully complete the CGI Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment; Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment.
Possession of an ACTIVE SECRET security clearance is required to begin employment; Ability to maintain a SECRET security clearance is required for continued employment.
? Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
? Must already possess clearance.
? Must have extensive JAVA development experience ideally dealing with JDeveloper and Oracle ADF.
? Must have experience with JSP and some aspects of front end web design
? Must have recent experience working in RedHat Linux or UNIX environment
? Must have experience integrating with PL-SQL and Oracle 11g or greater.
? Must have recent experience working on C# .NET 3.5 or 4 projects in Visual Studio 2008, 2010 or above.
? Must demonstrate a strong understanding of the .NET framework and its various components including but not limited to C#, WCF, WPF, Silverlight, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and LINQ.
? Must demonstrate a strong understanding of object oriented design patterns, principles and frameworks used for web application development.
? Must have experience with developing SQL queries and stored procedures with a good understanding of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.
? Agile/SCRUM Software Development Life Cycle experience.
? Security + Certification needed within 6 months of start.
? Must be able to demonstrate code knowledge by writing a simple method on a whiteboard and talking about it afterwards.
