Responsibilities and Duties Include:
· Develop, technically assess and update project deliverable and documentation, including contract deliverables
· Tracks order acknowledgements, confirms system lead times, delivery dates, costs, and prepares and communicates shortages and backlog reports
· Negotiate special pricing incentives and agreements with suppliers
· Resolve vendor grievances and claims against suppliers
· Have a good understanding of hardware and software equipment to be purchased
· Monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and follow upon open orders
· Quality assurance for items order; conduct initial testing on some deliverables
· Utilize and manage internal buyers’ software and systems
· Liaison with other departments, particularly Operations and Accounting; provide updates between PM and Deputy PM
· Perform duties in an independent manner with little or no need for direct supervision
· Ensures orders adhere to supplier agreements and contracts; reports non-conformances or potential interruptions to PM management
· Leads finance in resolving reception and invoice discrepancies
· Arranges deliveries and pickups
· Resolutions on returns
· Identifies and reports to PM managers opportunities to achieve efficiencies
