Position Description
CGI Federal is seeking an experienced Military Analyst to support its TRADOC customer at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. The Military Analyst will support constructive models and simulations training, experimentation, directed studies and analysis efforts. As part of a team, this individual will conduct technical and military research to describe behavioral, organizational, physical, and equipment models and develop associated requirements in order to represent the operational environment (OE) and PMESII-PT operational variables across the six Army M&S-enabled communities (i.e., Acquisition, Analysis, Experimentation, Intelligence, Test and Evaluation, and Training). Military Analyst will support testing / training of TRADOC G-27 Opposing Force (OPFOR) personnel both on-site and at distributed locations. Will participate in experimentation and exercise support through use of the Battle Lab Collaborative Simulation Environment (BLCSE). The position requires working in a team environment under the direction of the M&S Lead and Senior Systems Engineer. Your future duties and responsibilities
? Conduct knowledge acquisition/knowledge engineering (KA/KE) to describe behavioral, organizational, physical, and equipment models in operational terms associated with Irregular Warfare (IW) tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) to include, but not limited to; counter insurgency (COIN) operations, counter-IED (C-IED) TTP, IED-Defeat (IED-D) TTP, Attack the Network (AtN), and stability operations in order to provide input to model / simulation development efforts.
? As a result of research above, track model integration by simulation/federate and update knowledge engineering supporting documents as required; insure familiarity of organization and behavior changes between federate members (e.g., OneSAF, WARSIM, and JCATS).
? Coordinate with M&S Lead and Senior Systems Engineer to ensure crosswalk to requirements specifications and associated capability documents.
? Develop and maintain behavioral models documentation that contains all KA/KE documentation.
? Correlate and map all tactical tasks (behaviors), organizations, physical, and equipment models with model specification documents to TRADOC G-27 M&S Branch concept modeling efforts.
? Coordinate with simulation test cell lead to assist in data, test, and requirements definition during models / simulation training, test and experimentation events.
? Develop test reports, participate in user assessments and provide documentation to model developers for resolution. Capture OE-related problem trouble reports (PTRs) during testing and submit to TRADOC G-27 M&S Lead or Senior Systems Engineer; ensure resolution of submitted PTRs during subsequent events by developing a tracking mechanism and submit to appropriate model developer for review / acceptance.
? Assist in and conduct test writing effort (threads, vignettes, scenarios and operational requirement exercise test documents) for all OEL models.
? Support experimentation and testing over the BLCSE network:
? Provide instruction, coaching and mentoring to exercise participants in the operation of simulation systems supporting training / testing / experimentation events (e.g., ARCIC SIMEX, NIE and AWA). Participate in After Action Reviews and provide subject matter expertise on ways to improve model performance issues.
? Assist in the operation of the OE/OPFOR test event cell and conduct workstation/cell planning, and controller coordination as needed.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
? Bachelor?s degree of higher
? Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
? Minimum requirements are 8+ years of military experience
? Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
? Ability to manage several projects concurrently
? Familiar with the standalone and distributed simulation environment, experience in extant maneuver models (e.g. JCATS, WARSIM, AWARS, ONESAF) required.
? Candidates must also express a willingness to expand their skills, be adaptable to and have the ability to work within a team environment.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Effectively communicate with the M&S team, simulation developers, other departments, and clients.
? Bachelor?s degree or higher in Computer Science or associated field.
? Work cooperatively with other team members to complete assigned work.
? Willingness to think ?outside the box?, with creative and strong problem solving skills.
? Adaptable to rapid change in position requirements and demanding time tables with a high attention to detail, with an ability to work independently.
? Basic foundational knowledge of Linux.
