The successful candidate will take responsibility for delivering process improvements within our end to end Supply Chain processes (e.g. Accounts Payable, Procurement, Inventory Management, etc) and support the overall Performance Excellence Strategy.
The candidate will be expected to support the following strategic activities within the SDC to drive value and performance for overall Supply Chain:
This role involves working with the management team to support the development and implementation of the Supply Chain Process & Performance Excellence Strategy. The candidate will personally help to support managers, analysts and buyers on the new ways of working within the Service Delivery Center.
Project and Program Management
The role will include managing and facilitating teams on small to large projects to drive efficiency and value for Supply Chain and for the business functions it supports. Responsibilities include:
·Coaching & facilitating teams to deliver projects across areas in Supply Chain
·Organizing and facilitating workshops to define issues and develop solutions
·Manage small to large projects through to delivery
·Ability to craft & deliver presentations to management level
·As a qualified Performance Excellence practitioner, lead projects across Supply Chain. Acting as an internal consultant to make professional recommendations for business improvements, whilst facilitating and coaching others on projects and LEAN techniques.
·Support development of business cases (with benefits, costing, ROI)
·Responsible for mobilizing and managing project teams and delivering tangible business benefits
·Ongoing regular engagement, with teams and leaders, to sustain the journey of delivering performance excellence and achieving lasting behavioural change.
·Support & facilitate small to medium projects to deliver cross-business efficiencies, benefits and change
·Responsible for supporting the PMO mechanism for managing projects and programs, including communications and change
·Build network across National Grid to share best practiceand support ongoing development of end to end processes, to remove of waste and increase value
·Experience or understanding of LEAN techniques
·Ability to gather & analyze data to come up with recommended approach

·A Bachelor's degree in a related area and up to 3 years of analytical or business support experience, or equivalent work experience is preferred; advanced degree/credits are preferred.
·SAP ECC knowledge preferred
·Supply Chain experience preferred
·Strong analytical skills, using systems including Excel, MS Word, Access.
·An understanding of data relationships across the Supply Chain end-to-end process and possess strong data modelling design skills
·Ability to translate complex data requirements into robust and optimized solutions
·Demonstrated experience in process improvement
·Ability to research, compile, coordinate, schedule, review, document, organize, verify data, conduct independent analysis and identify inconsistencies.
·Ability to administer, analyze, interpret, create, initiate, resolve and implement management policies, operating practices and procedures for the functional area.
·Demonstrated strong organizational and planning skills with the proven ability to manage multiple priorities of moderate scope.
·Knowledge of relevant industry practice and legislation.

·Ability to identify trends in data or resourcing processes that have been effective in the past and applies them within National Grid
