Job Description:

The Sensors Test Analysis Requirements Simulation (STARS) team is seeking a senior level systems or simulation engineer to provide technical and strategic guidance in support of the Missile Defense Agency’s sensor systems. These systems include TYP-2, UEWR, SBX and Cobra Dane radar systems. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in all four and be able to provide technical and strategic guidance for the project.

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience.

Candidate must have good people skills and the desire to work with a highly technical team of engineers.

10+ years of experience with the development, operation, and use of engineering models and simulations.

10+ years of experience with the following four radars, TYP-2, UEWR, SBX and Cobra Dane.

Management experience required to work closely with Program Manager as well as assisting in managing the technical side of the program STARS.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working with MDA SN office is a plus.

Knowledge of major radar software systems such as AN/TPY-2

Knowledge of modern simulation languages such as UML and SysML and their development tools is very important

Experience with Matlab and Matlab Simulink is desired.

Experience with Ada or Ada95 programming language would be helpful.

A minimum of five years’ experience is preferable.

Clearance Requirement:

Must currently possess or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
