Electronics Technician (Senior/Lead) - Aberdeen, MD (Job Number:421566)


SAIC has a contingent job opportunity for a Senior/Lead Electronics Technician. This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located in Aberdeen,MD.

The Electronics Technician will distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems. Performs installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for communications equipment, electronics equipment, large computers, minicomputers, or microprocessors, including buses for those in a networked environment. Installs, operates, troubleshoots communications-electronics equipment, power distribution systems, signal distribution systems and RF distribution systems for complex systems such as military shelters, aircraft, ground vehicles, etc., as may be applicable. Works from, and assists in the development of, engineering drawings. Works independently, with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Requires a High School Diploma. Preferred to be a graduate of a technical school.
- 8 or more years’ experience in electronics practices, of which 5 years shall be related to the fabrication and installation of components for communications-electronics installations in military systems.
