Position Description
- The position is supporting client based applications running within an IaaS/SaaS cloud environment.
- You will be performing analysis and development for the databases supporting these systems, as well as supporting team members for application and systems support.
- Applications are running in a variety of states and support is needed for replication, back up and restoration of data across geographically disperse locations. This includes recurring maintenance, patching and testing of systems, implementation support for release management, security analysis and remediation, issue and incident corrective actions and remediation as needed.
- The position may involve off-hours and after hours support to resolve issues or perform maintenance.
- A candidate will have a strong troubleshooting and analysis skill and be able to perform risk identification, preventative analysis and continually look for and identify potential efficiencies.
- Candidate will need strong speaking and writing abilities and be able to interface with clients. Your future duties and responsibilities
Primary duties include the routine management of MS SQL and MySQL databases, support for version upgrades and impact from application upgrades, troubleshooting problems as they arrive and support for routine system and system architecture maintenance as it pertains to the databases. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Candidates must be US citizens
- Associates Degree and a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience
- MS SQL database
- MySQL database
- Clustering and replication solutions
- Disaster recovery solutions

- Windows Failover Cluster
- Steeleye Data Replication
- Cloud Environments
- Application interfaces (Tomcat, eBO, Custom)
