Aviation Fielding Instructor / Training Developer (Job Number:421952)
This position is for the fielding and training of aviation maintenance software to customers. The position entails working as a training developer/instructor for a fielding and training team. Responsibilities include producing and developing Training Support Packages in accordance with U.S. Army standardized training guidance. The Trainer/Instructor will develop, direct, plan and evaluate training programs or activities to meet external customer learning objectives. Assignments may include needs analysis, custom course development, development of criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of course objectives, and evaluation and learning assessments. Collaborates with customer to develop, enhance, and/or evaluate new or existing learning objectives and course content. May create course content, training materials, visual aids and documentation to support a variety of instructional formats such as lecture, lab exercises, field training, computer-based training (CBT), and/or web-based training (WBT). May develop exam materials and may be responsible for testing and qualitative evaluation of participant's attainment of learning objectives. Monitors and evaluates training programs, assesses results, and implements enhancements as needed. Trainers will also help train newly assigned personnel; develop and instruct support presentations and User Manuals. Trainers will provide assistance to software engineers and technical writers in the development of on-line help features. Trainers are required to maintain a professional appearance and mannerisms; assist the Training / Fielding Team Lead and Project Manager; this position requires extensive travel.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
Associates degree in related discipline plus four years of related experience or HS/GED plus ten years of related experience.
Candidate must have experience in U.S. Army Aviation maintenance.
The position requires knowledge and understanding of Army Aviation maintenance principles and the Army Maintenance Management System – Aviation (TAMMS-A).
The existing knowledge of ULLS-A(E) is a must.
Qualification and experience as a weight and balance technician is a plus.
This position requires the ability to perform platform and hands on instruction.
Must have the ability to interface with all levels of military and civilian personnel.
Candidate must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
