The SAIC HUMINT SME/Instructor supports multiple specialized performance development projects at various geographically dispersed locations. The SME/Instructor provides subject matter expertise in multiple facets of human intelligence tradecraft and core competencies including; human source handling, information elicitation, interviewing, interrogation, and analysis of HUMINT reporting. The SME/Instructor also plays a crucial role within the program in the areas of instructional design and implementation. Support primarily to DHS and other government agencies are required to enhance organizational performance of personnel and intelligence programs. The SAIC HUMINT SME develops and implements training addressing the aforementioned HUMINT core competencies. Additional responsibilities include role play and simulation for practical applications included the execution of training. Extensive support to law enforcement and military field exercises including scenario development is required. The SAIC HUMINT SME will develop training and other materials based on analysis of supported organization requirements. The SME, in coordination with the SAIC Team Lead, will conduct instruction, curriculum development, field exercise mentorship, and other support required by customers at various geographic locations.

Duties will include:

Expertise and instructional capability of HUMINT basic-to-advanced tradecraft skills

HUMINT analysis methodologies and operational application support

HUMINT scripting and role- playing in support of performance evaluations

Assist in identifying training and exercise requirements for training and practical application.

Conduct customer engagement with unit training personnel for training requirements and coordination of deliveries as required for ITEP support.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree.

Minimum 6 years’ experience or at least 10 years of relevant operational experience.

Required Skills:

Significant working knowledge and experience with human intelligence and law enforcement tradecraft.

Demonstrated experience in law enforcement and/or military tactical HUMINT operations.

Candidate must have strong operational and instructional background in HUMINT tradecraft core competencies.

Must have working knowledge of government organizational intelligence infrastructure.

Excellent written and oral skills with the ability to communicate difficult concepts to various audiences. Work independently and/or part of a team to accomplish tasks under limited supervision in a timely manner.

Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications required.

Desired Skills:

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in formal instruction is desired.

Location and Travel:

This position serves as the SAIC HUMINT SME assisting the SAIC Team Lead with development and management of multiple training and performance projects.

Primary work location is telecommute in Eastern NC, other temporary work locations are geographically dispersed at multiple government facilities across the continental United States.

Training activities will occur in a variety of settings and locations as requested by the government customer.

Travel within CONUS will be required.

Employee can expect to travel supporting SAIC ITEP projects and attend various meeting and conferences to maintain awareness of current training requirements (50%).

Required Clearance:

All applicants for this position must possess a current TS/SCI clearance.
