Job Title: Electronics Maintenance Technician Ill
Provide support to the 120th Infantry Brigade. This support shall include mission support operations, maintenance support of equipment, test measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE), spares, and accomplish required repairs. Provide technical support to engineers and scientist on a variety of complex components, devices, material, products, processes and/or equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Operate the military vehicles and other OPFOR training aids in support of all training missions and observe response.
•Perform operator maintenance on the HMMWV's and schedule regular "organization and above" maintenance with installation support.
•Perform operator maintenance on the government weapon system, to include knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and generator maintenance at the operator level.
•Possess the skills and knowledge necessary to perform operator level maintenance on the HUMMV series of vehicles and civilian leased vehicles to acceptable Army standards.
•Be certified or possess the ability to be certified, to operate government owned or leased vehicles, to include, but not limited to, the HUMMV series of vehicles and civilian pickup trucks and sedans.
•Provide overall support for the Aircraft Survivability Equipment Training system.
•Provide technical support to engineers and scientist on a variety of complex components, devices, material, products, processes and/or equipment
•Work from complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications and sketches and running sheets of significant complexity
•Interpret and follow written documents such as SOPs and safety rules
•Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements applicable to the company in accordance with State and Federal regulations and any applicable certification required to maintain the certification
•Lead training new team members
•Interface with other departments to assure efficient flow of information and materials
•Perform Key Performance Indicators:
o Meet production deadline
o Quality of finished product (Pass/fail rates)
o Raw material stock levels
o Compliance outcomes
•Diagnose cause of electrical, optical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance
•Modifies a variety of complex electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations
o Requires an associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in the field or in a related area
o Eight (8) years of related experience
o Must demonstrate strong decision-making and leadership skills. Experienced handling small delicate components, using ESD practices Must be experienced in the safe handling of chemicals.
o Experienced in the use of various computer applications, including Access, Excel, and Labview. Must have good mechanical skills
o Requires an active DoD Secret clearance.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
•Avionics/electrical experience preferred.
•Soldering and wire bonding experience a plus.
•Experience with MRP a plus.
