Sr. Software Specialist/Java Developer - Top Secret Clearance Required

Position Description
The contractor shall create user information solutions by developing, implementing and maintaining Java based components and interfaces. In performance of these services, the contractor shall:
- Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.
- Design and develops user interfaces to internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.
- Recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.
- Integrate applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; studying and
establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers.
- Complete applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities;
contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
- Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
- Be skilled in Java, Java Applets, Web Programming Skills, Teamwork, Verbal Communication, Web User Interface Design, Software Requirements, Software Development Process, Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Multimedia Content Development, Software Debugging. Your future duties and responsibilities
- Provides assistance in all aspects of software development from design through implementation and the maintenance of upgrading existing software.
- Analyses, designs, specifies, documents and implements web based and application software solutions.
- Possesses expertise across multiple information technology platforms and the integration of diverse architectures and with large and complex information technology systems implementation.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- US citizenship required
- BA/BS degree
- 10 years experience
- Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required
