Technical Professional – Field Engineer
KBR is seeking a Technical Professional – Field Engineer. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Possess some supervisory responsibilities.
Provide and direct the technical services functions on-site.
Resolve job site technical issues encountered during execution of the project.
Provide job site liaison with engineering personnel.
Provide advice to client on technical matters.
Interpret drawings and specifications for job site queries.
Supervise job site document control and distribution of drawings, specifications, and all other technical documents.
Monitor preparation of, and approve final acceptance of the various contractors’ system turnover packages.
Assist Engineering, QA/QC, Commissioning/Start-up, & Client in defining the turnover systems.
Schedule systems for turnover.
Other responsibilities may include training, developing, and appraising subordinates, and supervising inspection and QA/QC activities.
Bachelor's degree is preferred in Engineering or Construction Management and a minimum of 2 - 5 years’ related experience.
Strong knowledge in petrochemical piping
General knowledge of ASME piping and welding codes
Pipe support standards, detail and installation
Inspection test procedures/inspections
Must have strong understanding of construction field technical standards, engineering practices and standards, progress measurement, material specifications and management systems, scheduling capabilities.
Must also have strong computer skills (data base systems, spread sheet software and 3D modeling a plus)
