Contract Specialist

Position Description
This role supports a multi-year business process services contract CGI Federal has with a local housing authority that is aligned with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Accordingly, the Contract Specialist is responsible for managing a portfolio of assisted housing contracts to ensure the accurate and timely completion of all required tasks, which may include the following depending on business need:

? Perform detailed reconciliation of payments to property owners;
? Renew expired contracts;
? Maintain positive relations with owners, residents and their representatives, neighborhood groups and local governments;
? Perform rent adjustments including budget analysis;
? Perform on-site audits at properties in various locations around the state to assess compliance with Federal rules and regulations;
? Write detailed reports describing deficiencies in compliance and corrective actions needed;
? Monitor property?s implementation of corrective action plans;
? Maintain customer files and records retention in accordance with policy;
? Other duties as assigned.

The work requires the ability to meet deadlines consistently and accurately; time management and the ability to successfully manage several different tasks with competing priorities is necessary. Travel up to 50% may also be necessary.

To qualify for this position, applicants must have knowledge of HUD rules and regulations governing the HUD Section 8 project-based housing program or the ability to learn this information through the training program provided. In addition, applicants must be proficient in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

A bachelor?s degree or comparable work experience required. Your future duties and responsibilities
