The Bank of Canada?s Cyber Security Program is a partnership across the Information Technology and Corporate Security teams to help create and implement processes and technical solutions that enhance the Bank?s ability to identify, assess, and defend against security risks.
The goal of the Security Governance, Risk and Compliance (SGRC) project is to provide the Bank of Canada with a strategy, process framework, and tool(s) which support the production of a common, current and consistent view of security risk, supporting repeatable risk-informed decisions across the Bank.

The Resource will be responsible for the following:
? Lead technical delivery of Security Governance, Risk and Compliance (Security GRC) technical solution at the Bank. Components include solutions for data repository, data analysis, and reporting.
? Work closely with project team and technical stakeholders to identify key Security GRC technical components as aligned to project requirements, assist in prioritizing development efforts, catalog components to project requirements, and assign them to project use cases.
? Ensure appropriate collection and analysis of functional requirements based on critical client Security GRC use cases and expectations.
? Conduct in-depth technical Security GRC research, needs assessments and performance analysis to support, design, and recommend technical components.
? Generate Architecture and Design artifacts such as a Security GRC architecture reference document and technical requirements design document for each of the individual components, diagrams, and technical presentations.
? Facilitate the evaluation and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards, as well as the design of standard configurations and their implementation and migration into operations.
? Participate in all phases of the development methodology life cycle to implement the required information technology while adding technical know-how and creativity.

? University degree in a relevant field of study, such as computer science or engineering, and a minimum of five years of experience in a senior solution architect role in organizations with 200+ employees using various mission-critical enterprise solutions /platforms
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
? Experience deploying, managing or maintaining GRC solutions
? Minimum 5 years? experience dealing with information security concepts and technologies
? Strong understanding of corporate security, IT security, and especially cyber security
? Minimum 10 years? experience with information technology concepts and technologies
? Significant experience deploying enterprise solutions
? Demonstrated experience with enterprise architecture frameworks
? Demonstrated experience with security architects methodologies
? Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to communicate technical details in a clear, understandable manner to multiple levels of an organization.
? Customer-oriented focus with a strong interest in client satisfaction
Other Requirements:
? Resource must be able to meet the Bank?s Secret clearance requirements
? Experience working in a matrixed environment
? English essential, French would be considered an asset
