Drives the creation and development of new and industry-leading fraud reduction strategies, both procedural and systemic, and ensures their prompt implementation into the on-line and payment processes. Ensures that all fraud strategies operate in concert with the business models of SHC and individual business units. Stays in front of potential on-line and payment fraud losses by 1) anticipating areas of vulnerability 2) Taking proactive steps to reduce that vulnerability and 3)Conducting investigations into fraudulent activities and making procedural and/or systemic recommendations to prevent re-occurrences. Ensures the prompt and risk-averse transition to an integrated retail environment.

  • Maintains currency in the dynamic on-line and payment environments in order to anticipate new on-line, fulfillment and payment innovations, the risks they incur, and the solutions available or to be developed.
  • Incorporates, in all risk strategies, the inherent affect of the strategy on member experience, future direction, operational expense as well as fraud mitigation.
  • Maintain and enhance ongoing communication channels with the the business units to understand their direction and goals and provide Asset Protection perspective to them.
  • Supports retail and Logistics Asset Protection with instruction, data for evidence, and other means of assistance in accomplishing the field Asset Protection goals.
  • Develops the annual expense plan for on-line Asset and Profit Protection, monitors the plan throughout the fiscal year and makes necessary adjustments to the plan to accommodate business trends.
  • Sets goals and timelines for the Asset and Profit Protection On-line/Payments team's projects and work efforts and coordinates those timelines with the business units' needs.
  • Sets priorities for On-line/Payments Asset protection, using cost-benefit analysis to determine the order of prioritization.
  • Gathers analytical details in assessing risk and solutions for risk when making key budget and risk decisions.
  • Drives investigative excellence for cases involving payment and on-line crimes requiring root cause identification that led to incurred losses and recommendations to prevent re-occurrences.
  • Accepts accountability for financial results related to on-line and payment fraud mitigation
  • Ensures and oversees PCI and PII integrity on projects, cases, and workflows in the on-line and Payment Fraud mitigation areas
  • Drives revenue growth by minimizing risk associated with projects designed to open new methods of payment, fulfillment, and order/sales entry.
  • Responsible for manager and associate morale, development, feedback, and continually solicits feedback from the team at all levels and incorporates that feedback into risk strategies.
