Leads the administration of policies and programs covering all aspects of human resources; Partners with assigned business areas to ensure all human resources needs are met.




Food Safety & Quality.

  • Responsible for food safety and quality.
  • Shall complete an orientation process which provides training in the Key Concepts of Food Safety and Quality.
  • Shall understand that identification of any failures in these areas is their responsibility
  • If they identify a deficiency in Food Safety and/or Quality, they are responsible for taking corrective action and reporting the issue to their direct supervisor or Quality supervisor.
  • The Quality Manual is available to this employee on the shared Marshall Network drive.
  • Monitor production work methods to manage overall product to meet USDA and quality objectives.



  • Recruit, hire and orient work force for plant operations.
  • Analyze statistical data and trends on turnover and retention.
  • Make recommendations to improve Company practices and analyze market trends.
  • Oversee production scheduling and bidding process within facility.



  • Assist and Ensure Equal Employment Opportunity in all employment practices.
  • Assist in compliance in the area of EEO, AAP, OFCCP and OSHA regulations.
  • Assure AAP, EEO-1, and Vets 100 reports are updated on a timely basis


  • Aid in the attainment of goals for each fiscal year.
  • Minimize the amount of turnover in the plant and communicate the numbers accurately to the team.


Labor Relations.

  • Ensure compliance with Labor Agreement.
  • Will be the direct contact for the Union with regards to employee relations, which includes the management of the grievance process.
  • Advise all levels of management on Labor Agreement interpretation and concerns.
  • Assist Company in Labor Agreement Negotiations.
  • Notify Management, Union Reps, and Union Business Agents of upcoming Labor Management meetings along with prepared meeting agenda; take and post minutes.
  • Grievance Process.
    • Investigate and resolve grievances throughout various steps.
    • Analyze data concerning trends in grievances.


Development/Training Programs.

  • Arrange and oversee training functions for employees and management.
  • Promote employee activities.
  • Secure all eligible outside funds through local, state and federal programs.


Liaison with Outside Vendors.

  • Serve as liaison with cafeteria and vending machine vendor(s)






Integrating with plant management to provide a sound labor/management facility; maintaining an adequate, trained workforce as a result of turnover within the plant labor force and low availability of qualified candidates in the area; Assuring compliance with various regulations including EEO and AAP.




Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees; planning, assisting and directing work; apprising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.




Approve disciplinary action from oral through discharge level. Advise in disciplinary action involving discharges. Authority to recruit selects and hire hourly union employees. Make equipment and supply purchases. Advice disciplinary action involving discharges; Refers recommendations for salary increases of non-exempt employees and increasing staff levels beyond budgeted levels to Human Resource Manager or Plant Management.




Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field and four to six years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience; Must have management experience; HR Certification at the PHR or SPHR level is preferred; Knowledge of interviewing, employment practices, EEO, ADA, AAP and FMLA requirements; Must have working knowledge of Workers Compensation, Unemployment, Labor Relations and OSHA regulations; Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public; Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference; Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations; Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
