Responsible for ensuring all needed supplies and equipment are ready and available to meet the needs of the clinical areas supported. Maintain appropriate PAR and on-hand supply levels, including management of min/max and reorder points. Perform daily quality inspections of supply locations ensuring proper product rotation and performance of cycle counts. Maintain an environment that is organized, efficient, and safe. Education: -Associate Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred.
Experience: -Must have two years supply chain experience. -Automated inventory management experience preferred. -Healthcare inventory management preferred. (see department specific experience requirements below).
Department Specific Experience Requirements: -Asset Inventory & Equipment Management: Two years healthcare equipment management experience preferred. RFID asset tracking experience preferred. -Cath Lab/IR/EP: Two years inventory management experience in a Cath Lab/IR/EP preferred. Point of Use automation experience preferred. -Customer Care & QA: Two years healthcare inventory management experience preferred. Customer service experience in a healthcare setting preferred. -Customer Care / QA / Revenue: Two years healthcare inventory management experience preferred. Experience with Quality Assurance practices and customer service is preferred. Experience with EMR systems (i.e. EPIC) and knowledge of hospital billing practices preferred. -Emergency Room / Trauma: Two years inventory management experience in an Emergency Room preferred. -ICU: Two years of inventory management experience in an ICU preferred. -Medical Surgical / Clinic: Two years of inventory experience on medical surgical floors or clinics preferred. -Operating Room: Two years of OR inventory management experience preferred.
Equivalent Experience -May have an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above.
Certification/Registration/Licensure: -Skills or Special Abilities: -Proficiency in inventory control procedures and user functions of the inventory processing system preferred. -Must demonstrate proficiency in operating a PC. Proficiency in applications such as Lawson, Point of Use systems (i.e. PYXIS, OMNICELL, etc) and Microsoft Office is desirable. -Understanding of medical terminology preferred.
