Responsible for effective medical management and efficient clinic operations in serving Parkland patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions including physical exam, history, assessment, diagnosis, planning and performing specific treatments under the supervision of a physician to decrease complications, expedite recovery and facilitate return to independence.
-Must have a Bachelor's degree.
-Must have graduated from a physician assistant program accredited by Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors.
-Must have three years of Physician Assistant clinical experience in a similar specialty area, or five years of Physician Assistant clinical experience in another area
-Must have active certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or become certified within one year of employment.
-Must have current Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
-Must have a current Physician Assistant license from the Texas Board of Physician Assistants.
-Must meet and maintain licensing and registration requirements as delineated by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Medical Staff Rules and Regulations, and Credentialing Policies/Procedures, if any.
Skills or Special Abilities:
-Must demonstrate advanced clinical expertise, and have the ability to master PHHS protocols, quality management policies and procedures.
-Must be capable of serving as a clinical resource, educating patients and healthcare team members.
-Must be organized and have excellent oral and verbal communication skills to access, record and evaluate patient information.
-Must demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behaviors.
