Under general direction, incumbent provides professional human resource services. Position functions as a human resource generalist in a variety of functional areas; or has independent responsibility within an assigned function. Independently perform professional level work in one or more human resource functional areas such as recruitment and selection, compensation administration, benefits, employee and community relations. Additionally, provides administrative support to the Chief Human Resource Officer and department as needed. 



  • Serves as the primary administrator for HRMS functions regarding employment - including new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations; maintains job posting process and coordinates staffing process including new hire orientations and tours
  • Provide support in areas of 401(k), benefits, workers compensation, FMLA, ADA, and OSHA recordkeeping
  • Leads employee interest groups as assigned (e.g., wellness committee, charitable drives, community volunteer and involvement, etc.); serves as primary point of contact with temporary staffing agencies in the placement of temporary labor
  • Maintains job descriptions and HR SharePoint site; provides general guidance to employees seeking HR direction/guidance, and maintains personnel files
  • Manage the timely completion of the company’s annual Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) with the vendor, and complete the annual Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) report or other government required reports


Preferred Experience, Skills, Education, and Other Qualifications:

  • Strong PC skills, to include Windows, Word, Excel and Web applications
  • Previous experience with HR management systems requires, experience with Workday a plus
  • Relates well and exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and maintains a constructive working relationship
  • Prompt, thorough, and accurate with all assignments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent listening, speaking and conflict resolution skills
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed
  • Must be able to do multiple tasks at the same time
  • Good attendance record
  • Must be detail oriented
  • General knowledge and experience with labor law, FMLA and ADA



  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • Five years of increasingly responsible professional human resource experience
  • Suitable combination of education and experience
