Position Description

The person in this role will provide support in underwriting, structuring, and documenting new credits and credit renewals for the SBA Lending Division. Responsible for identifying, gathering, and analyzing relevant information to assess credit risk, establish viability of sources of repayment, and determine appropriate loan structures. Provide support in the underwriting role in preparing cash flow and financial analysis, preparing credit approval memos with recommendations consistent with bank policy that illustrate well reasoned analysis, supported by the SBA SOP policies. Assist with the assigned SBA loan portfolio to minimize risk to the Bank. Provide quality customer service, including participation in joint calls with customers. Will also assist with special projects as needed.

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor degree with minimum of 4 years experience working in a credit administration role, credit sales, underwriting, or servicing experience.
High school diploma or GED with 8 years experience working in a credit administration role, credit sales, underwriting, or servicing experience.

Other Preferred Qualifications:
Leading candidates will possess a strong knowledge of Small Business Administration (SBA) lending policies and guidelines.

Additional Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years experience working directly with loan underwriting and cash flow analysis.
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communications skills.
Detailed knowledge of financial accounting theory and logic, loan structuring, commercial products and services.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Ability to interpret and discuss analytical data.
Thoroughly and independently analyze complex credit situations and make sound credit recommendations/decisions to create win-win solutions for the client and Bank.
Ability to excel in a team environment, manage multiple tasks concurrently, and prioritize.
Proficient with computers, software, applications and applicable mainframe systems.
