Position Description
CGI Federal is looking for a IoT Solution Architect to support internal and external customer projects.
The successful solution architect will develop Cyber Physical System(CPS) and "IoT" solutions to help drive business initiatives. Researching, reviewing, and developing cutting edge IoT solutions while leveraging key CGI developed software and business systems to enhance customer solutions. The solution architect must provide strong business skills, cutting edge technology knowledge and have professional writing and verbal communication skills. Your future duties and responsibilities
The IoT Architect will provide research, knowledge, reviews and ideas to develop, validate and deliver IoT solutions. The successful candidate must be able to work closely with other solution architects to deliver complete systems to address business and technology challenges.
Lead and support IoT technology solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements
Evaluate business solution pricing, data management, applications, hardware, and infrastructure requirements
Develop the future state of IoT offerings and capabilities for CGI Federal to target this growing market
Design, develop, prototype IoT solutions and deliver Proof of Concepts for new and emerging markets such as regulatory agencies, autonomous vehicles, and Oil and Gas industry.
Develop and manage key customer relationships across CGI and industry
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Computer or similar engineering degree
Minimum 8 years of post Bachelor work experience in civilian, military or other government position
5 years experience designing, developing, delivering hardware prototypes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, competent in Microsoft office tools to include presentation, development and delivery.
Self driven individual, able to initiate and develop relationships both internally and externally
Government contracting knowledge desired
Ability to develop, write and deliver white papers, technical presentations and participate in industry conference panels or group discussions
Desired Skills:
Developed and delivered end-to-end IoT solution
Embedded Linux, microcontroller and/or FPGA experience
Due to the nature of the government contract, US Citizenship is required.
