GEOINT Architecture Engineer (Job Number:422590)



SAIC is looking for a qualified GEOINT Architecture Engineer for our Chantilly, VA facility.

Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Facilitate and coordinate GEOINT Futures Studies Group (GFSG) Ground-Comm IPT
- Review emerging GEOINT architecture concepts with Ground and Comm directorates
- Develop ground and communications architecture positions and impact assessments; work with SPOs to evaluate vehicle impacts driven by these architectures
- Coordinate modeling efforts across multiple contractor teams
- Distill and develop analysis products for senior leadership
- Produce/present Ground and Comm briefings for external organizations
- Work with Commercial vendors to understand technical capabilities/limitations
- Liaison with the joint NRO-NGA Commercial GEOINT Activity
- Develop Commercial assessment framework, assess commercial systems and independent data analytic firms
- Participate in multiple GFSG IPTs, providing backup support across the organization
- Support Enterprise architecture development



Must currently possess: Top Secret / SCI with POLY


- B.S. degree in a relevant technical field (engineering or physics) Familiarity with current and planned
- 15+ years of experience in general space systems engineering
- NRO Command & Control, Processing, and Communications systems
- Understanding of the capabilities of current and potential capabilities of future GEOINT Architecture systems, to include commercial systems
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate between Government organizations and summarize complex technical information for presentations at national-level technical meetings
- Works well in small and large teams


- M.S. degree in a relevant technical field (engineering or physics)
- 10 years or more experience working in a Government space vehicle acquisition office
- Experience organizing and facilitating the activities of teams and working groups to set goals, track performance, and execute studies necessary to achieve those goals
- Proficiency representing complex data in high level Microsoft PowerPoint presentations tailored to specific audiences
- Ability to respond to short suspense with minimal supervision to interpret and execute technical direction, analyze data, develop conclusions and draft recommendations for courses of action
- Familiarity with NRO readiness and acquisition guidance
- Current professional certification in engineering or project management
