Sharepoint Developer

Position Description
CGI Federal, Government Secure Solutions is seeking a SharePoint Developer to support our INSCOM customer in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. Candidate should be able to design, develop, and deploy web parts, lists, libraries, and applications utilizing SharePoint Designer, as well as provide subject matter expertise to and collaborate with various levels of administrators, end-users, and stakeholders. Candidate should follow best practices when designing SharePoint implementations and solutions. The developer should also have the ability to implement and customize SharePoint-based solutions, sites, applications, and workflows by utilizing Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft .NET languages to extend and augment the SharePoint platform when necessary. This includes writing source code and user interfaces. The developer should also design and develop custom web parts, business intelligence dashboards, web services, and XML-based solutions, and have the ability to interact with SQL servers.

Description of Duties:

? Performs design, development, and administering of software solutions for new and existing applications.
? Responds to user problems, and integration with other systems as needed.

Required Skills:

? Development and administration experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2007 and 2010.
? Programming/Coding/Scripting in Microsoft .NET.
? Experience with Visual Studio and SharePoint Designer.
? Ability to utilize a database and or lists.
? Incisive problem solving abilities
? XML, Web Services, SharePoint Branding, CSS, and Front-end Design.
? Must possess good communication skills and be able to interact with customer/end users.
? Must be able to understand business requirements.
? Must have experience developing in an Enterprise environment.
? Ability to identify areas of continuous improvement and make recommendations and/or implement solutions.
? Assures that delivered application software is consistent with industry best practices application attributes (including scalability, availability, maintainability, and flexibility)
? Familiarity with Active Directory and authentication protocols.
