Full Time Employee Contractor
Provide full time equivalent technical support services as a field and help desk technician.
Respond to all requests for support assistance within 1 hour of receipt of email/phone notification. When possible, all incidents shall be resolved during the initial response.
Enter records of all requests for support and activities into customer system.
Respond to Casualty Reports (CASREPs), System Trouble Reports (STRs) and mitigate problems including but not limited to hardware/software upgrades and system patching.
Perform offsite support including site surveys, casualty response, software/hardware installations, software/firmware upgrades, technical assistance and system grooming.
Execute troubleshooting procedures as directed by the Network Engineer and Sr. System Administrator and report findings or outcomes immediately upon completion.
Electronically notify of failures and the activities required for system restoration.
As assigned tasks are completed, shall provide an electronic report of activities noting all successes or failures and reasons for failures, if known.
Assist with the deployment and integration of new releases of software and hardware which include, but not limited to, installation, integration, testing, and administration.
Provide any projected downtime requirements for software/hardware upgrade, patches, and new releases.
Execute all system security, patching and updates as directed by the Network Engineer.
Analyze, develop and implement Active Directory (AD) Group Policy. These efforts will be coordinate with Group Policy Team.
Minimum of two years’ experience with the Information Systems Certification and Accreditation Process.
Minimum of two years of hardware and software administrative support experience in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (including Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Desktop 7, 8, and 10), and Red Hat Linux.
Minimum of two years’ experience applying security updates and patches to Windows/Linux systems and the host hardware.
Minimum of two years’ experience monitoring and resolving computer system problems.
Experience working with Search and Rescue Systems and providing system level support is a plus but not required.
Requires High School Diploma with 4 years of related field experience or a Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science or related field) with 2 years of related experience.
