Job Description:

The SED Targets IV&V Configuration Management/Data Management/Mission Assurance (CM/DM/MA) Team is requesting a full-time CM/DM/MA Senior Analyst to assist in day-to-day Data Management activities; coordinating, assisting, and attending meetings; submitting SED Targets IV&V team procurement requests; and handling SED Targets IV&V deliverables through Data and Configuration Management processes. The candidate should be a self-starter who has initiative, strong interpersonal communication skills, an ability to multi-task, and a willingness to work with others as part of a team. This position will be responsible for ensuring the CM/DM/MA team adheres to CM/DM plan(s) and associated processes and procedures. The candidate must be eager to learn new customer-related acronyms, terminologies, major milestone events, and organizational structures. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an SED Targets IV&V lab computer account.


The SED Targets IV&V computing environment is composed of approximately 90% Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and 10% Microsoft Windows. The ideal candidate would be able to operate in both Linux and Windows 7. Experience with RHEL and Windows command line operations and scripting, as well as virtual machine software is a plus. At minimum, the candidate must have experience operating either Windows or Linux operating systems and have a keen interest in learning to operate in a mixed-OS environment—as well as learning newer major releases of Linux and Windows as the SED Targets IV&V team migrates to them in the coming years. Tools SED Targets IV&V currently utilizes the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) to document and send all deliverables. At minimum, the candidate would be proficient with all applications within the Microsoft Office Suite. SED Targets IV&V also utilizes Serena® Dimensions CM for document management and storage. Experience with Dimensions, Microsoft SharePoint, or databases are a plus. Candidate must have exceptional organizational skill with both physical and digital items. Communication The SED Targets IV&V program is a team of developers, testers, operators, and leaders who work together with complex technology in a lab environment. As a senior analyst, the candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively connect with members on their team, members within other Targets teams, and Targets leadership. Candidate must be able to thoroughly and consistently document various internal SED and external MDA meetings through the use of agendas, minutes, and action items. Candidate may be asked to communicate these meeting items to SED or MDA leadership.


The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration from an accredited university.

Other Bachelor’s degrees may be accepted if candidate holds a minimum of 4+ years of professional work experience that relates to data or configuration management. Experience may be used in lieu of degree.

Work Experience:

Knowledge of Government policy directives, standards, specifications, handbooks, pamphlets, as well as Department of Defense adopted industry standards, relating to configuration/data management is crucial.

Candidate must have minimum of four (4) years of work experience directly related to acquisition, mission assurance, configuration control, or data management.

Clearance Requirement:

The SED Targets IV&V lab operates as a classified open-storage lab. The candidate must meet the requirement of holding an active Secret Security Clearance. Candidates with a Secret interim security clearance will be considered, but the successful granting of a final Secret Clearance is required of employment.
