Responsible for identifying and providing psychosocial assessment and brief intervention for trauma patients and families.
-Must have a minimum of Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work.
-Must have two years of counseling or clinical experience.
-Must have experience working with trauma and/or substance abuse populations.
-Prefer experience working in a hospital and/or inpatient setting
-Prefer training and/or experience in crisis intervention
Must have current State of Texas licensure, as appropriate for profession. Licensure options include:
-Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
-Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA)
-Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
-Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
-Licensed Psychologist (LP)
Skills or Special Abilities:
-Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and counseling skills.
-Must be able to provide patient centered/patient valued behaviors that meet department standards for excellence and ethical practice.
-Must be able to provide services independently, with opportunity for supervision as needed.
