Position is responsible for managing field logistics services (including delivery and installation) to customers in a designated market area for products purchased across various retailers and commercial businesses, including those operating within Sears Holdings, and through various sales channels, including brick and mortar and online. Product may originate from the Sears Market Delivery Operation (MDO), Sears Store Delivery Operation (SDO), other Sears Facilities (Stores), or a local Third Party facility (other Retail Store/Warehouse) and ownership continues until a satisfied completed delivery and/or install at customers’ homes. This individual has P&L responsibility for an average of $4 million in revenue and $600 thousand in EBITDA, from managing between 45,000 to 60,000 deliveries and installs annually. The local organization typically averages 15 associates. This individual is responsible for leading the critical thinking initiatives and the problem solving thought process. Critical to success is the ability to drive performance and proadvocacy through direct relations with an average of 10 individual installer firms and direct relationships through a local carrier manager with an average of 10 delivery teams. The individual is directly accountable for the inventory sold through Sears and Third Party clients until the completed delivery and/or installation at the end consumer location. The field logistics manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining disciplined, highly motivated delivery and installation teams focused on quality control standards and service that exceeds our customers’ expectations. In addition, the field logistics manager will build a strong team partnership with the retail district staff, stores, account management and other formats and clients, with regular communication and improvement discussions.
