PRIMARY PURPOSEThis is a professional position which, under the guidance of the Director of Institutional Risk Management involves providing support for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), risk financing, claims management, and risk analysis & control activities. Activities will include: preparing financial analysis reports and dashboards, reporting key performance indicators (KPI) and key risk indicators (KRI) to risk owners and stakeholders, timely gathering of insurance submission data for annual renewals; claim trend analysis for annual actuarial assessments and other initiatives to support enterprise safety and risk management and optimize our costs of risk.MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONSEducation:- Must have a Bachelor¿s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Finance, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field. Experience:- Must have one or two years of experience in a related field.Equivalent Education and/or Experience:- May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above. Certification/Registration/Licensure:- None.Skills or Special Abilities:- Must have a strong understanding of financial statements, along with the ability to gather and organize information and draw logical conclusions- Must have advanced math/statistical analysis and problem solving skills and the ability to turn financial and qualitative data into information (produce reports and visuals that tell a story and improve the perspective and visibility of risks to risk owners)- Must have good verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with the public, physicians, and all levels of staff- Must have strong Excel skills, advanced preferred - Must have a working knowledge of insurance, claims management and loss prevention- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and application skills regarding process excellence, business analysis, reengineering, and process modeling - Must have knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) - Must be detail oriented and have a working knowledge of database software- Must have strong organizational and time management skills - Must demonstrate knowledge of safety, loss control and risk management principles
