Position Description

The Area Executive is responsible for meeting the financial objectives (e.g. growth, profitability) for an assigned geographic area designated as Targeted Growth by the Bank. Leads branch, business, and commercial banking teams to meet sales goals, mitigate risks and provide outstanding client service. Responsible for effective partnerships with Credit, Business Services, Branch Operations Support, and other corporate divisions. Must be effective at customer acquisition, sales management, business development, credit administration, and leadership. This position reports to the Regional Executive Vice President.

The Area Executive will split time between our Kansas City Plaza and Overland Park branches.

Position accountabilities:

Develop & implement a team sales plan. Follow the Banks sales management process and defined timeline for sales management activities. Utilize Bank sales tracking/management tools. Inspect team sales activities & pipeline information. Engage with sales partners by joint calling and participation in sales meetings and training events.

Exercise the usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, training, disciplinary actions and terminations.

Develop and implement a plan for the Area to accomplish the short-term and long-term financial objectives, based on the strategic direction provided by Corporate. Review the plan with all associates on a regularly scheduled basis to ensure understanding and commitment.

Partner with operations, credit, and human resources in risk management efforts. Maintain required knowledge and comply with operations policies and procedures. Maintain strong credit quality and comply with lending policies, procedures, and credit approval guidelines.

Represent the Bank in various civic and community functions to further enhance the Bank's image and development of additional business.

Review, analyze, and control all non-interest expenses in order to meet the budgetary commitments for the area.

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor degree with a minimum of 10 years commercial or retail banking experience.
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 14 years commercial or retail banking experience.

Strong motivational skills.

Management experience.
