About the Position:
To be the primary point of accountability for the handling of external customer requests for sold gas services, ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved through the completion of work and resolution of any issues during the transactional service fulfillment lifecycle.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Act as the primary point of contact for customers to provide support, resolve issues, and ensure customers’ gas service orders are communicated and delivered against service level agreements.
Perform, validate, or process invoices for non-utility billing/CIAC (Cost in Advance of Construction) for gas service projects.
Complete the design and work packages for gas service work so that dependencies and construction work can be completed.
Process gas service request contracts or agreements so that customers can have service construction work completed.
Work with other business stakeholders to support the fulfillment of customers’ requests for gas service.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience Required:
Associates degree in business, engineering, technology, or other related discipline experience preferred or Technical diploma at the high school level (Electrical/Plumbing).
Requires a minimum of three years of experience in customer support role preferred
Possesses a general understanding of National Grid’s gas business.
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to apply consultation procedures and negotiation skills using visual aids, data or information to support line of reasoning.
Demonstrates a consistent approach in dealing with people and taking personal responsibility for addressing problems and concerns.
Capability Requirements:
Customer Orientation: Takes personal responsibility for correcting problems promptly and undefensively and communicates customer expectations to monitor delivery and satisfaction.
Attention to Detail Monitors accuracy and quality of own and other’s work, checks to ensure procedures are followed
