- A full-time position with a good starting salary between €4606 and €6549 gross per month.

Your new role as a Central Project Engineer
You will be part of a central engineering and automation team focused on large logistical implementation projects, large-scale mechanization projects, and new customer implementations. The main focus of the central team is:
As a project engineer, you will be one of the subject matter experts on engineering in the BeNeLux and a key player in the implementation teams. You will work closely with operational implementation managers, IT, mechanization, and project management. Besides projects, you will be part of the experts driving engineering and solution standards across a large engineering community in the Benelux (75 engineers).
Main responsibilities:
- Lead/support (depending on size/complexity) the engineering work stream within projects and define and lead the detailed design process, engineering work plan/schedule, define/execute tasks, complete deliverables, coordinate local engineers and other workstream members, and monitor/report results.
- Be the expert within the project team to ensure the standardization principles and translate them into the final solution (facility, automations, process, systems, layout).
- Participate in project team meetings to report and discuss work in progress and findings.
- Lead in the initiation, design, and development of large process changes and automation opportunities.
- Act as a subject matter expert in your specialization within the BNL and be responsible for aligning and maintaining close contact with our EMEA organization and global solution design teams.
What DHL Supply Chain is looking for in our new Central Project Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in (logistics) Engineering.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Dutch.
- Experience in warehouse design.
- Proven track record in achieving successful projects.
- Affinity for conceptual thinking in setting up best-in-class warehouse processes.
- Inspiring, charismatic, and target-driven people manager.
- Willingness to travel (scope is Benelux).
- Flexibility regarding irregular working hours (depending on the project).
- Team player.
- Advantageous to have experience with our standard WMS (JDA, also known as Blue Yonder) or, at a minimum, a demonstrated affinity with WMS processes and good warehouse practices.
